For all his life, Ray Proffitt Jr. has been building things as well and finding better ways of doing things. Out of his many years in the construction industry Ray saw a need to create Structural Strategies LLC, a small business designed to provide a more functional, easy to use and cost-effective hold down clip for the construction industry. The need for an innovative and imporved hold down clip came of of years of experience with M.S. Wall fabrication and Design. While there a need arose that Ray Proffitt Jr. noticed for a high quality component that would not leave the company vulnerable to inferior products. The PS1 was born from this need and has become our flagship component.
The PS1 is an economical, quick install, high capacity hold down for light guage metal stud framing projects. As the light guage metal stud industry has grown in both size and complexity of the projects constructed, limited choices for an economical, fast install hold down clip became apparent. The PS1 was developed to shorten delivery times, reduce cost and speed installation.
Today SSL operates out of a converted barn. The barn is an ever present reminder of the company's humble beginnings and that customer service is the lynch pin to SSL's business. The customer is key and we want them to feel that everytime they think of or come back to Structural Strategies.
